Website Analysis

This website uses Google Tag Manager. Thanks to this service, website tags can be managed via an online surface. The Google Tag Manager simply implements tags. This means that no cookies are being used and no personal data are collected. The Google Tool Manager triggers other tags which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access these data. If a deactivation was performed at the domain or cookie level, it applies to all tracking tags, provided that they are implemented by the Google Tag Manager.

This site employs Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"), by means of the Google Tag Manager. Google Analytics uses so-called "Cookies". These are text files, which are saved to the user's computer and enable an analysis of the website use. The information created by the cookie on the website use of a user are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and are stored there.

IP anonymisation is enabled on this website. The option of anonymising IP addresses is regulated with the Google Tag Manager via an internal setting which is not visible in the source text of this page. This internal setting is set in a way to achieve the anonymisation of the IP addresses, required by the Telemedia Act. The user’s IP address will be truncated by Google within the area of the Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the whole IP address first be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the website’s operator for the purpose of evaluating the use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing them with other services relating to website activity and Internet usage.

The IP address that is transmitted by your browser in the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with other data held by Google. You can opt out of using cookies by selecting the relevant settings in your browser. However please note that, by doing this, you may not be able to take full advantage of this website. Users can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, and the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:

In order to be able to perform a better analysis and achieve a constant improvement of this website, we activated the Google Analytics Report "performance according to demographic characteristics and interests". In the Google Analytics Reports web analysis data are broken down according to demographic characteristics and interests. In order to collect these data, Google uses third party cookies (e.g. DoubleClick Cookies) amongst other things. You can avoid this data collection by Google analytics by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie will be put in place, which avoids future collection of your data when visiting this website: deactivate Google Analytics

Cookies are small files that allow storing device-related information to the user's access device (PC, smartphone, etc.). They enhance the user friendliness of websites and thus serve the user (e.g. by storing login data). On the other hand they are used to collect statistical data on the website use and analyse them to improve the offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or completely prevent the storage of cookies. However, it should be noted that the use and particularly the user-friendliness will be limited without cookies.

You can manage many online ad cookies by various companies on the US website or the EU page

ENGEL makes use of data collected on its web site for the following reasons:

  • so we can provide you the requested information and services with the best possible quality
  • so we can provide you with a personalised experience on our website
  • so we can communicate information and announcements regarding our website
  • so we understand your requirements and interests better and therefore can optimise our website and our offers

You may change your setting as follows:

With our newsletter service we inform you at your express request about us and our offers.

If you would like to use our newsletter service, we require a valid email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the indicated email address or that the owner consents to receiving the newsletter. Further data will not be collected. This data is processed exclusively for the newsletter registration, the newsletter management and the newsletter distribution and is not forwarded to third parties outside the ENGEL Group.

When registering for the newsletter, we log your IP address and the date of registration. This logging is purely for evidence in case a third party has misused an email address and registered it for receiving the newsletter without the knowledge of the email address owner.

Any processing of personal data in connection with the receipt of newsletters is performed only on the basis of your prior consent. This is on the understanding that you can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time using the above contact options. You can also unsubscribe from our newsletter service at any time. The option to unsubscribe is available via a link directly in the newsletters or in your profile area.

Integration of third party services and content

It is possible that our online offer may incorporate content from third parties, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always requires that the provider of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third party") is able to identify the user’s IP address. This is because without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of each user. The IP address is thus required in order to present this content. In this context, we only use content where the respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content.

However, we have no control over whether third parties will log the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of such a procedure, we will inform users accordingly and reassess the integration of the content in question.

For detailed information about all Google services, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy.
